BASIC DESCRIPTION; Lahni has a very petite figure. Elves are normally tall and slender, but despite this well known fact, Lahni is not tall compared to their standards. To a normal human being she would seem tall but not if you put her in the middle of an elf line up. One might assume she is weak by the look of her slender frame, but she is actually quite the opposite. Lahni uses this edge to her abilities, playing out the weak little girl facade well when it suits her.

PERSONALITY OVERVIEW; Upon meeting Lahni one might assume that she is cold and distant. She comes off as such because she is so quiet. Most the time she actually quite likes whoever is is she is meeting, but she has a hard time showing it. Once you get to know Lahni, you begin to understand how she is feeling by the emotions on her face. She is an open book as long as you know how to read. Her emotions always play out on her face, rarely does she actually voice how she feels, instead she just lets her eyes speak for her.
Once you get over your initial thoughts about Lahni she is very easy to befriend. She is happy almost all the time, even if she doesn't show it. She has always been the optimistic type. The kind of girl that believes in soul mates and all things good. She is also very passionate about things she truly believes in. Lahni has never been in love, but she is the type of girl that would give her entire self to a man and never think twice about it. She would love him with her whole heart and nothing less.
Though she always means well, Lahni is slightly erratic. Her ideas are very unpredictable, combine that with her ability to convince you to do almost anything and you have a slight problem. She loves to go on "adventures" as often as possible, but she refuses to go alone. She will always try to talk someone into adventuring with her. If someone will not go with her adventuring then Lahni will jump on any ideas they have. She is very open minded and she will do just about anything to keep the time passing. She also does a lot of things without thinking them through. This is one of her huge down sides. She just can't make herself think a issue through before responding to it.
Despite Lahni's naturally happy ways, she is very hot tempered. She has a very long fuse to burn, but once it reaches the end she is a force to reckon with. It takes a special kind of person to bring Lahni back down to earth, and quite often it is not possible. Trying to convince Lahni to calm down is a bad idea because then she will explode on a whole new level. The best way to get Lahni to calm down is just leave her alone, and come back in a few hours when she has had the chance to calm herself down.
If, in fact, you are one of the few people that Lahni does not like then watch out. Combine Lahni's passion with her aggressiveness and you have one hot mess. Most likely you will never get onto her good list once she has marked your name on the bad list. She just isn't the kind of girl that changes her mind about that kind of thing. It is very rare that Lahni find's someone she doesn't like though, so don't worry about it until she gives you a reason to worry.

BASIC HISTORY; Lahni Amara Hale was born on the 18th of February into the Hale family. It was a sunny day, and it had been quite warm despite the cold winter that elves had been previously enduring. Lahni was the first elf child to be born into the colony in almost ten years, the previous being her sister Baylar. The whole colony came to love and protect both the children of the Hale family as they were the only children the colony had. Elves did, infact, live for a very long time so the need to reproduce was not hurried. They took their time bringing children into the world, making sure that the time was always right. Lahni had been one of those very few children that had not been thought through. Her parents didn't mean to have another child when food was sparse and the colony was having a hard enough time with the frozen ground. She had been an accident, but she was never treated as such.
When Lahni turned 12 she was enlisted into combat training, something all the elven children of the colony must attend for at least a year. She trained with Silas, the weapons master and previous military leader. Lahni was a fast learner, always striving to become better at what she was doing. She never grew discouraged, instead finding new ways to attack Silas's challenges. When Lahni's year was up she insisted on continuing her training. She wanted to become master in all areas of battle and weaponry. She was a natural with a bow and arrow and could hit almost any target, but she was clumsy with a sword. The day she overcame Silas in a blade combat was the day that Lahni finally stopped training and took a breath. She hasn't fought anyone since that day, though she still practices on dummies and hunts with a bow every now and again.

RP EXAMPLE; It was late and Lahni knew that most sane people were in bed by now, but she didn't like sleeping at night. Night time was when the sky came to life. She loved to sit and watch the twinkling lights. Every once in a while she would see a shooting star. She remembered when she was little her older sister would tell her to make a wish on the star because it was magic. Lahni would always giggle at the way her sister's eyes would twinkle when she said magic, just like the stars.
Lahin sighed out loud, stealthily maneuvering herself so that she could see the sky better. The branch she was sitting on was about mid way up the tree and there were too many other branches in her way. She decided that she would try to climb further up the tree so that she could see the night sky better. She studied the branches above her for a second, deciding where to start, before she began to scale further up the tree. Finally she reached a branch that would hold her weight. She lightly moved her way on it, laying her head on the trunk of the tree and looking up.
There was still a few branches between her and the night sky, but not as many as before. She stared at the stars, her eyes darting, searching for a shooting star. She new it was silly but she had a wish. Actually it was less of a wish, and more of a request for the universe. She sat for almost an hour when suddenly one shot by, bright and clear. She stared for a moment, marveling at its beauty. Then it was gone. She squeezed her eyes shut and bowed her head. Please send me a purpose, something to do or somewhere to go. I am drowning out here and I need something to fight for. She opened her eyes to the night sky and smiled. She just knew her request would be met.
