Jinan is a fairly tall, lean, clean-cut man that appears to be in his early to mid thirties. His face is rather angular with thin lips and a pronounced greek nose. Most of the time he is alone he keeps his hair pulled up in a ponytail since it is of a decent length and can get in the way. His skin is a light olive and he enjoys wearing white and purple- usually formal clothing, suits and vests. He has almost flawless posture, and exudes and air of confidence and power. Both of his ears are pierced, though he usually chooses not to wear his jewelry in public.
Though he is most commonly seen in his human form- which he quite prefers- he does have a few other appearances. The closest to his human form is his Demon or "monster" form, where he has small tusks on his lower jaw, small horns, reptilian eyes, a third eye on his forehead, claws, and blue skin with white hair and tattoos, while everything else remains basically the same. He also has his "true" form- a kind of smokeless blue fire that retains a humanoid shape- which he tends to only take when highly aggravated or around other jinn. His last, and least used form is that of a large serpent, which he has the ability to use but hardly ever chooses to take.

PERSONALITY OVERVIEW;
Jinn are much like humans, as they can choose to be either good or evil, and have free will. On that note Jinan could be said to be a rather benevolent Jinn. He prefers to keep to himself, and takes his duties as Mayor of the valley very seriously, even though he can be deceiving and abusive of his power at times.
He is against hurting people, but has no problem twisting the truth a little or causing a little mayhem. He stays away from conflict when he can, but when pressed he has been known to have a short temper. He is a naturally smooth talker, unafraid to pull a few strings to get what he wants, but always keeps the needs of his home at the top of the list, and most consider him a good mayor. He is actually quite intelligent, and good at solving the problems that come up between the human and supernatural side of the valley. He is seen by most as very prim and serious, but he also has a childlike mischievous side.
Perhaps his most negative trait is his tendency to be manipulative, even though it comes in handy when dealing with the human population of the valley. In general he is respectful towards his peers and those who can meet him on his own level, but he doesn't actively pursue building deep relationships. He has a few close friends, but also cherishes his own space, and is asexual- with no real interest in romantic relationships.

BASIC HISTORY;
In the jinn world Jinan's father was a prince in Turkey- a part of the Persian Empire at that time- and his mother was a jinn princess in India. They were two of the first to discover Beyul, and founded Kitezh in 113BC, they would take turns ruling over the valley alongside both "mythical" creatures and the unwary humans, until Jinan was born in 1347. He was raised in the valley, reaching the jinn version of adulthood at 200 years.
Every 100 years or so he reappears in the human world and does a 10 or 20 year stint as mayor of the valley, and the rest of his time he spends as a prince in the jinn dimension. Having such a long lifespan is normal for his species, but it is not to mistaken for immortality. Jinn can not die of old age, but are perfectly mortal and can be killed if shot or stabbed.
Despite having an extensive list of abilities, including magic, Jinan isn't very powerful. By jinn standards he is average- he can create and throw small flames, has heightened persuasion skills over the weak minded, can move small items with his mind with minimal effort, and large objects with strenuous effort. He can become invisible for half an hour or so at a time, take several different forms, move from place to place almost instantaneously, and float around to his heart's content. The downside is that he can never use any of these around humans besides messing with their minds, and has had multiple slip-ups over the years.

RP EXAMPLE; (totally old but I am lazy today)
It was warm out, but the heat was not in any way oppressive. Gravel crunched beneath his boots as he made his way into the town. It was nothing like Ost, with its towering buildings and bustling streets, but it would have to do. It was mostly small houses and shops, with one main road running through its center. He walked along this road, hands in his pockets, looking into the dull shop windows. He hadn't brought any money, so he wouldn't be able to get anything- even if he wanted to. Most of the Iton employees spent their days off in Gypsum, shopping or mingling with locals. Siem wasn't here to do either of those things, but he had run out of books in his room. I wonder if this pathetic excuse for a town has a library. he thought to himself, fiddling with his necktie. His deep blue eyes scanned the rows of buildings, disapproving of what they saw. A couple of people passed him on the street, not bothering to greet him. It was pretty slow for such a nice summer day, but he slowly realized most people would be working in the mines. He huffed, and eventually came across a small bookstore. It looked as if it might be closed, but he tested the door and found it open. With an uncomfortably loud creak, it closed behind him and shut out the cheery summer light. "This is more like it." he murmured, picking up the nearest book and brushing the thick layer of dust off its cover. He glanced over his shoulder, and spotted someone who must be the owner of the store behind a desk. She was plump, with thick curly hair held up in a ponytail, and sleeping. He let out a small snort of contempt, and preceded to open the small book.
The History of Gypsum.
Delightful.
